Our Organisation: CAFAG helps to bring people and communities together to support and change lives. We are a Community Centre based in the heart and central point of Fegg Hayes Rd, Chell Heath, Chell. Job Summary

The role as Funding Officer may vary according to the area in which you would work, but daily activities would include researching possible sources of funding via Grant finder, a comprehensive database of UK, lottery and EU grants and awards. Advising staff, maintaining CAFAGs funding database. Putting together and giving presentations, attending meetings with relevant and interested parties, working with budgets, and analysing statistics. Monitoring the progress of funding applications and writing reports.

*Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated Funding Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing relationships, fundraising activities, and supporting the financial sustainability of our organisation.

*Responsibilities*

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding bodies

- Utilise software to manage donor databases effectively

- Implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support for projects

- Provide excellent customer service to donors and stakeholders

- Conduct market research to identify potential funding opportunities

- Collaborate and promote fundraising campaigns

- Write funding bid and grant applications

- Collate statstics and data to support with funding applications

- Report writing

- Update databases and data-driven information

*Qualifications*

- Proven experience in fundraising or a related field

- Strong relationship management skills

- Excellent customer service abilities

- Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices

- Knowledge and understanding of charity and public sector

- Experience in medium-large scale funding grant and bid applications

- Evidence of successfully obtaining funding/grants

- Knowledge of UK and midlands area funding grant donors and organisations

- Excellent written communication

- Attention for detail

- Meeting deadlines and timescales
