Go Cotswolds Weekend Minibus Cleaner

Who are we?

Based just outside of Shakespeare’s home town, Stratford-upon-Avon, Go Cotswolds is a small, family-run guided tour company, established in 2014. We provide fun, friendly, guided minibus day tours of the nearby Cotswolds, operating out of our vehicle base in Bidford-on-Avon.

Demand for our tours has never been greater. This year, we have nearly tripled the number of tours we offer each week, and we’re not stopping there! Our aim is to move to a larger premises in the future, however until then, we’re seeking a Minibus Cleaner to join our friendly team.

What will our Minibus Cleaner do?

We have a small fleet of five 16-seater Mercedes Sprinter minibuses, of which 3-4 are in regular, daily use, and one is maintained as a spare vehicle. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining Go Cotswolds’ outstanding reputation, by ensuring our minibuses leave our base each weekend clean, tidy and professional, and ready to receive guests from all over the world.

This will include:

• Washing the vehicles externally.
• Sweeping out and mopping the insides.
• Cleaning the windows.
• Removing any litter and debris from around the cabin.
• General tidying/surface cleaning.
• Other small upkeep tasks.

Practicalities:

• This role is being offered on a part-time basis. We are looking to hire one cleaner who's available to work weekends, with potential for occasional weekday cover.
• You’ll be available to work 1-2 hours both days, between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am, up to 7 days a week. You'll be expected to clean 2 to 3 vehicles during that time.
• Water is available on site, and all cleaning materials and PPE will be provided.
• This role would be ideal for someone requiring additional income to supplement other work or a pension, or perhaps a student looking to earn some cash before college.
• For the right candidate, cleaning could be carried out in the evenings (post-tour), however this can be discussed during the interview.
• We pride ourselves on being a local family business, so you’ll ideally live within Bidford-on-Avon or the surrounding villages, and be able to travel to our base easily.
• The role will be subject to a probationary period of 1 month.

About You:

• Are you a thorough, trustworthy and flexible person, willing to go the extra mile?
• Can you communicate confidently in English, able to receive and articulate information clearly and concisely?
• Do you have impeccable timekeeping and reliability? Our tours run on a strict schedule, and any delay in the morning can result in a bad experience for our guests.
• Do you have excellent attention to detail to ensure our vehicles are thoroughly clean and hygienic for our drivers and guests?
• Are you self-motivated to work independently without supervision?

We’d also love it if you have:

• Some experience with cleaning commercially, however this is by no means necessary, we just need enthusiasm and a good eye for detail!

Work Location:

Our operator base is located in Bidford-on-Avon, just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. This is where the vehicles are currently kept. Due to our semi-rural location and the hours of work offered, you'll need to live within walking distance or have your own transport.
