Technical Grant Writing Assistant

Salary: Depending on experience

Hours: Full Time

Location: Plymouth, Devon or Remote

The Role:

We are on the lookout for a passionate and meticulous Grant Writing Assistant to join our team, dedicated to securing funding from key UK government bodies including the Faraday Battery Challenge, SMART, Innovate UK, and the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC). This role is instrumental in driving our mission to revolutionise EV battery recycling and champion sustainable practices in the industry.

What Youll Do:

  • Application Preparation: Collaborate with the grant writing team to assist in the preparation of meticulous grant applications, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations stipulated by the Faraday Battery Challenge, SMART, Innovate UK, and APC.
  • Appendix Creation: Develop comprehensive and persuasive appendices, providing supplementary information and evidence to strengthen our grant proposals.
  • Research and Data Compilation: Conduct thorough research to gather relevant data, statistics, and case studies that fortify the foundation of our grant applications.
  • Document Organization: Maintain meticulous organization of all documents and information, ensuring seamless collaboration within the team and efficient access to necessary materials.
  • Deadline Management: Work closely with the grant writing team to meet tight deadlines for grant submissions, demonstrating unwavering commitment to punctuality and precision.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to ensure that grant applications and appendices adhere to the highest standards of clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including research and development, finance, and project management, to gather essential insights and information for inclusion in grant proposals.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree: In a relevant field, showcasing a strong academic foundation and commitment to excellence.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to meticulously organize and present information in a compelling manner.
  • Writing skills: Strong written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex information with clarity and persuasiveness.
  • Research Acumen: Proficient in conducting thorough research to gather data and supporting evidence for grant proposals.
  • Team collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly within a dynamic team environment, contributing to a collective effort toward securing grant funding.
