Self Employed Groundskeeper and Maintenance Technician - Yurtshire & Yorkshire Yurts

Yurtshire is a market leading Glamping and Wellness Resort on the outskirts of Ripon, set within beautiful grounds in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty.

As the maintenance 'go-to' at Yurtshire, you will be responsible for maintaining a five star, safe environment for our guests, by ensuring our Glamping and Wellness Resorts grounds and facilities are well maintained on a day-to-day basis all year round.

Yorkshire Yurts specialise in marquee, yurt, tent and furniture hire for weddings, parties and events.

Maintenance at Yorkshire Yurts will include cleaning canvases, sanding and oiling woodwork, fixes to doors, tables and benches.

This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical knowledge, landscape maintenance skills, and the ability to use both hand and power tools effectively.

If you enjoy a variety within your work and managing a varied workload then this could well be the role for you.

From completing repairs such as fixing locks or outdoor furniture, to painting, grass cutting, oiling decks and building yurt structures. You could be fixing a leaky tap one day and the next you could be cutting logs with a chainsaw and axe, no two days are ever the same!

Our team take pride in delivering exceptional guest experience and our sites and structures need to be kept in top condition at all times. Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by guests or colleagues is a key part of the role and therefore previous maintenance and woodwork experience is essential. Plumbing / electrics would be advantageous, but not essential. Other work experience may include, Handyman, Maintenance Engineer or Joiner.

Desirable skills would include, property maintenance & repair and machinery maintenance.

This is a full-time role to include weekend ‘on-call’ duties and working across two sites, having your own transport is essential, as is the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
