Executive Head Chef

Location: The Vicarage, Holmes Chapel & The Bridge, Prestbury

Role Overview: We are seeking a capable, creative and proven Head Chef to take a hands on approach to culinary operations across our two prominent Cheshire venues. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef with a keen eye for detail and outstanding culinary skills to lead kitchen teams and develop seasonal menus that excite and inspire our guests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day kitchen operations at both restaurant and hotel venues, ensuring consistency and high standards across both sites.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate kitchen teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Create innovative and seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and elevate the dining experience.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standards, maintaining a focus on quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and stock levels, ensuring efficient and cost-effective kitchen operations.
  • Enforce food safety, health, and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement new culinary initiatives, promotions, and special events.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers to source the best ingredients and maintain high-quality produce.
  • Provide exceptional leadership, managing schedules, training, and performance reviews for kitchen staff.
  • Take a hands-on approach in the kitchen, to ensure high standards are always met and exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hotel environment, that is looking to scale up their skills!
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative, seasonal dishes.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities with a hands-on approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work across multiple venues, balancing creativity and operational efficiency.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
