Full job description

Situated in a vibrant Community Centre, the HR Manager will be overseeing the HR department with support of a small team, with outsourced payroll support.

Working hours are flexible but would be suited to 5 x 4hrs shifts a week. The role is open to a further decrease/increase in hours.

Post : HR Manager (15-20 hrs @£13.07-£13.88 p.h)

Responsible to CCYCP Manager

Basic Duties include:

  • Managing all aspects of the organisation’s Human Resources department.
  • Leading the HR team.
  • Onboarding / offboarding of all staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborating with project managers to manage the training and professional development of staff and volunteers.
  • Maintaining all staff and volunteer records.
  • Supporting staff with any HR queries.

Specialist Duties Include:

  • Reporting to Trustees at monthly HR/Finance sub committees.
  • Creating and maintaining job contracts and job descriptions.
  • Managing staff supervision and performance records.
  • Managing disciplinary & grievance policies and processes.
  • Managing the organisations recruitment processes.
  • Managing and recording of DBS and safeguarding processes.
  • Managing the upkeep and development of the organisation’s HR management software.
  • Supporting the Finance team with payroll processes.
  • Managing payrates and staffing structure.
  • Managing rotas and recording staff leave and sickness.

CCYCP HR Manager - Person Specification

Essential

  • Understanding and knowledge of HR processes.
  • Understanding of latest HR related legislation and regulation.
  • An understanding of Data Protection regulations.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Ability to work within policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively use IT equipment and software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other organisations.
  • Willingness to access further training and developmental opportunities.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity principles.

Desirable

  • Understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Possession of an up to date first aid certificate.
  • Possession of an up-to-date DBS certificate.
  • Welsh Speaking (learning or fluent).
