About Sticks & Cones

Sticks & Cones is a high-quality, ingredient-led independent ice cream shop opening in Marylebone in early June. We create artisan ice cream and ice lollies made from scratch on-site, using carefully sourced ingredients including locally sourced dairy, 100% fruit purées and premium nut pastes. Sticks & Cones will also have a strong coffee and tea programme. Everything we serve is made with attention to detail and a respect for craft. We believe in simple flavours executed exceptionally well, transparency in ingredients, and thoughtful sustainability in how we source, produce and operate.

We are looking for an ice cream chef to help us achieve our goal of making excellent ice cream, bringing joy to people and building something we are proud of together.

Ice Cream Chef/Pastry Chef

We are looking for a passionate and detail oriented ice cream maker/pastry chef to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on creating high quality ice creams, sorbets and ice lollies and related products from scratch ensuring consistency in every batch. You will play a key role in maintaining production standards and ensuring our products are of high quality before reaching our customers.

  • Prepare and churn ice cream, sorbets, ice lollies and other products, following our company recipes
  • Measure, mix and pasteurise bases accurately
  • Ensure consistency in flavour and texture across all batches
  • Taste and monitor quality through production. This includes dairy and nut-based products
  • Support the development of new flavours and products
  • Maintain a clean and organised production area
  • Follow high standards of food hygiene and health & safety procedures including allergens
  • Complete cleaning routines, check lists and maintenance of the machines
  • Manage stock rotation and reporting shortages and or quality issues
  • Work closely with front of house staff and assist with FOH roles as required
  • Communicate production schedules and availability
  • Handling heavy food items up to 25KG
  • Depending on minimum hours required, willingness to work front of house serving ice cream and engagement with customers.

This role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to develop their skills within a fun and dynamic environment.

Experience

At least one year in food prep role. This role would suit someone from catering college/uni and or someone who enjoys food and can follow recipes, home cooks welcome. Training will be provided on how to use the machines.

Pay from London Living wage, commensurate with experience

  • Full time 25-45 hours, 4-5 days a week, must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays
  • Ready to start work as early as 22 May
