About Behind Closed Doors Ltd:
Behind Closed Doors Ltd are a small family run company who has been successfully running for 36+ years in the industrial and garage door industry. We offer services such as supply & install, repair, maintain, alter and attend call outs to a wide range of industrial and garage doors within Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and surrounding areas.

The role:
The role will consist of running your own team (yourself and fitters’ mate) to conduct surveys, repairs, installation, servicing, altering, surveying, and covering call outs to a wide range of industrial doors, dock leveller & garage doors.
Key tasks:
You will run your own team to conduct the planned and reactive works to a high standard for the security and safety of the client, public, contractors and the the company.
You will communicate with the client and the office team to determine the requirements of the operation of the clients’ door(s)/leveller(s). This will consist of mechanical & electrical fault finding, surveys, repairing or replacing parts, alterations to doors to ensure they meet current laws and regulations, servicing, and installation of new doors.
To complete job cards with details of the works completed and findings.
You will be required to be on call 1 in 3 weekends to cover 24/7 call outs (+ holiday cover where required). Call outs are also expected to be covered by teams during the working week where required.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and tools.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who is responsible, dependable, punctual, trustworthy and has good technical/electrical/mechanical experience within the industrial and garage door industry.
A good understanding of health & safety to ensure the safety of you & your co-workers are working in a safe manner.
Our ideal candidate will have a flexible, good teamwork attitude and positive approach to their work/job role (including working evenings, early mornings and weekends where required) - Do not worry, we try will not work you to the bone.
Excellent communication and relationship skills with the ability to build & maintain relationships with team members and clients.
Requirements:
- 3 Years+ experience in the industrial and garage door industry (required).
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge in the industrial and garage door industry (required).
- Full clean driving license (required).
- Clean criminal record (required).
- Ability to work comfortably at heights (required).
- Excellent communication and customer service (required).
- Ability to manage a team with good time keeping (required).
- Basic understanding of IT systems (preferred but training can be provided).
- IPAF, PASMA, DHF Industrial and Garage Door Diploma (preferred but training can be provided)

Salary:
Salary ranging from £29,120.00 - £37,440.00 depending on experience (pay rise on completion of probation dependant on experience) + overtime + bonuses.
Hours of Work:
Basic 40-hour week, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday + cover call outs where required (in & out of hours).
Base:
One hundred miles radius from head office.
