Job Summary
Pointer Ltd. are recruiting for an Installation Engineer to join our team in the Midlands & South. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations of intruder systems within substation environments.
This role will involve working collaboratively with specialist sub-contractors, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring the seamless delivery of projects and work closely with security teams to identify and develop joint Fire & Security opportunities.
You will require to be flexible, have a hands-on attitude, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality installations of IP CCTV, Intruder, Access Control, and PIDS systems within substation environments, ensuring compliance with all safety and technical standards.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless project execution and high standards of work.
- Liaise directly with clients when required, attending site meetings to provide updates and address any concerns or requests.
- Foster and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and trust throughout the installation process and beyond.
- Provide regular, detailed project progress reports to your supervisor, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, maintaining clarity and compliance with company standards.
- Work closely with security teams to identify and develop joint Fire & Security opportunities, contributing to cross-departmental growth.

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive experience working with and installing security systems such as IP CCTV, CCTV, Access Control, IDS and Intruder Systems.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and commitment to maintaining high-quality installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Proficient in completing accurate documentation, including service-related paperwork and reports.
- Strong communication skills, able to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
- Able to work independently as well as collaborate with a team of specialists.
- Current full driving license.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
