GEM are supporting an award winning business for the search for Maintenance and Installation Technicians due to consistent and forecasted growth.

Our solutions can include LCD screens that are passive or interactive, outdoor LED screens, video walls, totems and audio solutions.

Their talented team provides a variety of services for their clients and it’s an important blend of in-house skills. Their technical team consult with clients and design the right ‘recipe’ of hardware and software. Based on brand guidelines, their creative team design unique, bespoke content for digital technology, ensuring it is intuitive for the user. Their engineers install the solution to extremely high standards. Their service desk provides ongoing support for the hardware and creative requirements.

They have a very strong reputation within a rapidly expanding market and they are known for the high calibre of clients and their roll out experience. They manage some of the largest networks of digital displays in the UK and with a ten year legacy, they are keen to build on their success.

Their target markets include retail, automotive and corporate communications. As technology is relevant to any industry, their client portfolio also includes leisure, healthcare, transport and estate agency. Their clients include a range of large corporate international clients, through to SME’s.

JOB PURPOSE

They need an Installation Engineer to install and provide service support for digital signage equipment in our customers’ premises. You will be working with the latest cutting edge technology including digital screens, mobile devices and projectors. You will also install the infrastructure that supports these solutions. This will include a wide range of cabling and terminations, as well as network infrastructures.

Their customers include blue chip, international companies who demand high standards. You will be working closely with a highly experienced Senior Installation Engineer as well as working alone. They are also keen to support training and development opportunities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES

• To install digital signage equipment in customer premises
• To install cables and network infrastructures in customer premises
• To work closely with the engineering and IT teams
• To carry our repair, service and routine maintenance work
• Where required, to solve practical problems; detect & repair equipment faults
• Driving high satisfaction levels with customers, aiming to install or restore normal operational service with minimum impact
• Complete all paperwork including job sheets
• Keep the office team updated of progress
• Keep the IT team updated with technical information or unresolved issues
• Required to stay overnight in hotel accommodation organised by the company

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience/Knowledge

• Experience of using hand held & electrical tools with competence
• Previous installation experience of electrical equipment
• You must hold a current UK driving licence, able to drive a van

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Analytical, with problem solving skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
