Full job description
Jigsaw Fitness designs and manufactures innovative fitness equipment from our Lancashire HQ. Our customers include some of the UK’s leading gym equipment brands and health club chains.
This role will work in our Installations team and will play an important part in improving the delivery and installations experience for our customers across multiple business areas.
Please note: this role will involve travel around the UK, and also provides the opportunity to travel abroad. Overnight stays will be required at times as well as occasional weekend or out-of-hours work. Overtime is paid at a competitive rate. Our products are often heavy and bulky, so installations require physical fitness and manual handling.
Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Representing the business on-site for clients of various types and sizes, from premium home clients through to new build sports/fitness facilities
- Delivering equipment from our warehouse to such sites around the country and, from time-to-time, internationally (recent projects have been in NYC, Miami and Dubai)
- Preparing the installation site to carry out a diverse range of assembly work
- Assembly, testing and commissioning of a wide range of fitness equipment products
- Using anchoring bolts and wall fixings to secure equipment in place
- Carrying out service, maintenance and repair works on existing products in the marketplace
- Checking over and pre-building equipment at our warehouse ahead of installations
- Supporting our workshop team at HQ on larger projects when required.
Essential Skills and Requirements
- Strong communication skills, internally and in front of clients
- Thrive working as part of a team
- Ability to apply logic to a project and use problem solving skills where required
- Positive approach to a fast-paced work environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to interpret technical product drawings
- Professional approach to managing risk and health & safety considerations
- Previous experience in a technical assembly/installations role (Desirable, not essential)
Qualifications
- UK Drivers License
- CSCS (Desirable)
- Forklift license (Desirable)
