Practical Event Solutions are looking to appoint a Junior Operations Assistant on a fixed term contract to join their ever-growing team to enhance the delivery of industry leading crowd management and event security to their clients across the UK.
Working collaboratively with the Senior Management and Operations teams, the Junior Operations Assistant will be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient co-ordination, administration, and delivery of the security operation for various events across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and professionalism, allowing them to develop and maintain effective relationships with both clients and staff whilst upholding the values and operational expectations of all stakeholders.
This four-month fixed-term position is ideal for anyone looking to develop practical experience in the security and crowd management industry. You will immediately experience the preparation, planning and delivery of crowd management and security at some of the biggest events across the UK and abroad.
Responsibilities
· Support the delivery of operational objectives through high quality and proactive administration and communication pre-event.
· Effectively supervise and motivate staff to meet operational expectations.
· Supervise operational staff to ensure all tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
· Produce and deliver effective briefings to staff.
· Liaise with agreed clients to co-ordinate and deliver operational expectations.
· Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to the role including laws and regulatory influences.
· Always demonstrate professionalism, upholding the reputation of Practical Event Solutions.
· Liaise effectively and appropriately with a wide range of stakeholders, including written communication.
Skills and Experience required (R = Required, D = Desirable, E - Essential)
· Valid SIA Door Supervisor License (E)
· Crowd Safety Management Qualification (D)
· IOSH – Managing Safely (D)
· Experience in the delivery of high-level customer service (R)
· Computer literate – Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (R)
· Complete tasks whilst demonstrating a keen attention to detail (R)
· Good understanding in the use of social media (R)
· Ability and desire to work towards industry specific qualifications (R)
· Committed to working weekends to meet operational demands (R)
· Experience within security / crowd management (D)
