Contract Options are looking for a Kitchen Porter to work at a prestigious school location on an ongoing basis.
A DBS check would be required for this particular work - if you do not have a recent certificate then we can apply on your behalf.
The shift pattern will be 11:30am-19:30pm, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. The payment for this role will be every Friday, for the work completed in the week before.
Kitchen Porter duties and responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of a Kitchen Porter include:
· Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
· Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
· Maintaining food storage areas such as freezers and refrigerators
· Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
· Washing equipment such as cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans, or loading the dishwasher
· Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
· Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment such as cookers, pots and food mixers
· Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation such as chopping, peeling and washing food items
· General assistance and teamwork with other kitchen staff
