A permanent Landscape Supervisor or Operative role, based in Banwell, North Somerset. With travel across the South West.

Your new role

As a Landscape Supervisor/Operative you will have general responsibility for delivering a full range of high-quality landscaping works.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for excellent development prospects and aspiring to move into management.

This role will include full training, support and skills development which will be provided by our close knit team.

The Landscape Supervisor is accountable for:

  • Site Delivery – ensuring work is carried out in line with client instruction, agreed plans, landscape and fencing drawings etc.
  • Team leadership – leading the team on site delivering agreed work scope to a high standard. Motivating the team
  • QHSE Management – overseeing and ensuring quality in all aspects of work delivered, either in planning or delivery stages. Ensuring proactive management of site and company health and safety standards / policies at all time.
  • Resource Ownership – accountable for ensuring all kit is maintained, up to date, and any issues reported. Including maintenance of company vehicles, in terms of general cleanliness through to maintenance reporting. Conduct vehicle checks in line with company policy.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have:

  • CSCS Card & Driving License - ESSENTIAL
  • 2 years’ commercial or construction landscaping experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience with full scope landscaping activities (hard landscaping, range of fencing, turfing, planting, tree planting, mulching, decking, patios etc.)
  • Familiar with site health and safety requirements
  • Knowledge and able to read and interpret landscaping / fencing drawings
  • Good understanding of horticultural knowledge
  • Time management and problem solving skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leaderships skills – with a style that is suitable for effective collaboration
  • Confident in dealing effectively with clients/customers
  • Collaborative team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Able to work in the capacity of a mentor to the wider team

Please note if you are required to drive company vehicles as part of your role, you must hold a full clean UK driving licence. You must also hold valid right to work within the UK.

What you’ll get in return

A salary of £18 per hour, (Supervisor) or circa £15 per hour (Operative) depending on experience. The role offers an opportunity to join an organisation committed to supporting its employees.
