JOB TYPE: Part Time, Permanent (Seasonal)

SALARY: £11.44 per hour

START DATE: Immediate

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for an attentive laundry operative/assistant to support the functions of our establishment. The laundry operative's responsibilities include processing clean laundry through the industrial ironer and folder as well as using small presses for ironing of uniforms and all day to day laundry work. You will be working as part of a small team, and may be required to serve customers or communicate with clients over the phone if necessary.

Our clientele base ranges from hotels and holiday lets to hospitals and warehouses. You will be handling and processing a variety of items, and will be required to handle dirty laundry at points. We constantly aim to go the extra mile for our customers, and expect our staff to take pride in their work and what they are returning back to clients.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

Take pride in their work, and ensure the laundry processed is of the highest standard possible for our clients.
Be familiar and comfortable working within a team based environment – we’re a small, family run business with a friendly working group.
Be adaptable and willing to work around a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
Be comfortable working within a physical role. The job requires workers to be on their feet most of the day, within an active factory setting. Breaks are given throughout the day.
Previous experience within the required field is not a necessity, as training will be given.

Formal credentials and certificates are not required. We value dedication over qualifications.

HOURS:

Hours are seasonal, and during the busy holiday period can be between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Winter hours may vary. This period typically runs from January until Easter.
