About Lakeside
Lakeside Healthcare is a large GP partnership that provides NHS care for around 170,000 patients across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. We are made of eight GP practices across 14 sites that are part of their local communities.
We work together as practices to provide resilience, sharing learning and professional back-office support services.

About the Team
Are you a Practice Nurse, ANP or ECP looking to move into a split clinical and Leadership role? We have a large Multi-Disciplinary team consisting of HCAs, NAs, Practice Nurses, ANPs and ECPs, working across St Neots to provide high quality patient care and are looking for a motivated Leader to join us.
Job Introduction
The purpose of the post is to deliver good quality Leadership to your team. Whilst bringing your clinical skills to provide, high quality primary care services to the practice population. Utilising skills and experience, the post holder will provide advanced interventions and influence development of services.
Using evidence-based knowledge, the post holder will deliver a high standard of care, making professionally autonomous and accountable decisions. The post holder will work within their professional boundaries to demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and cost-effective, expert care for patients within the practice.
The post holder will support service development, the safe delivery of policy and procedures, and demonstrate effective nurse advocacy and leadership.
Salary Range: £47,000 - £60,000 per annum, a leadership uplift will be discussed at interview.
What you will do
- Provide effective Leadership to the Nursing/AHP team, motivate, support and develop them.
- Manage Annual appraisals and 1:1s, setting clear objectives.
- Chair Regular team meetings locally ensuring active contribution and participation, and attend Lead Nurse/AHP meetings within the Lakeside Healthcare.
- Ensure effective communication between teams, ensuring teams are working within set standards.
- Initiates health promotion activities with individuals, patients and carers.
- Actively involved in the development and implementation of service developments and initiatives.
- Participates in risk assessment and promotes the safety and well-being of patients, staff and any other persons at all times and assist in ensuring a safe work environment.
- Ensure that all complaints, untoward incidents, accidents and areas of clinical risk are identified and reported to the lead GP, Nurse Manager or Practice Manager in accordance with the organisational policy and expected professional practice.
- Practice Lead for Infection, Prevention and Control.
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse/ECP.
- NMC or equivalent Registration.
- Managerial/Leadership experience within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the Primary Care environment.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Able to demonstrate experience in conflict management.
