Full job description
We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager! Reporting to the Head of People & Development, the L&D manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning initiatives that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall career growth. In addition to managing a team of three regional Business Partners, this role ensures that training and development programs align with business objectives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
In this role you will:
- Manage and develop the L&D team
- Maintain, develop and improve a training program covering leadership skills, Compliance, and soft skills in the most cost effective and efficient way.
- Work with managers to identify skills gaps and training needs across the business.
- Develop career development pathways to support employee progression.
- Collaborate with HR to develop the succession planning model.
- Design and implement leadership development programs to build future leaders
- Produce and work to an annual budget in line with Company requirements
- Maintain statistical information, training records and provide activity reports as required
- Utilise external resources as necessary and maintain a network of providers and training materials for future use
- Explore opportunities for external funding of training programmes
- Any other ad hoc tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in learning & development, training design, and facilitation.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Proven experience in managing people and leading a team
- Ability to forecast and develop workload and strategy
- Experience with LMS platforms and e-learning solutions.
- Ability to measure training effectiveness and ROI.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Coaching or leadership development certification.
- Experience with digital learning tools and blended learning approaches.
- Knowledge of psychometric assessments and career development frameworks.
