The role is to Supervise the Logistics Team, reporting into and Deputising for the Logistics Team Manager. The Logistics Team effectively manage the relationship between our Customers and our Couriers. Our approach is beautiful in its simplicity but ensuring service excellence is the real challenge, which is why we are so successful.

The Person

  • You will almost certainly have a Logistics background having had supervisory experience in a fast-paced SME logistics or traffic office operations
  • You will have great attention to detail and fantastic problem-solving skills with the ability to prevent/resolve issues that could result in the disruption of service level agreements
  • Gifted with strong communication skills across numerous channels, you work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You will be ambitious
  • You will be able to place yourself in the shoes of the Customer and continually ask the question “What would I want expect if I needed an urgent item collecting or delivering?” and ensure their expectations are met in full
  • Customers will see you as the Swan on the surface, not the frantic legs beneath the water
  • You’re comfortable joining our team on-call rota – planned in advance and only one week in every 4 or 5. This comes with a £150 reward on top of basic
  • You will be comfortable working to a set of non-negotiable Values where the Customer’s needs are absolute
  • You will appreciate working in a strong team environment where you are supported, developed and valued
  • You will be able to get the most out of your team whilst developing and coaching them for further improvement
  • We use IT stuff and would expect you to be able to as well
