We have a new position available as a Marine Engineer.
Aquamare Marine Ltd is a trusted partner to multiple luxury boat manufacturers and we are asked to provide an installation, commissioning, and repair service both locally and further afield. We also offer a range of services to private customers and whether its retrofitting, maintenance or servicing our engineers are tasked with providing a consistent and high-quality service with a ‘right first-time approach’. We are looking to grow our engineering team and are looking for candidates that are capable of adapting their existing skills to work across multiple marine systems and provide an industry leading service to our clients and customers.

Some key duties for this role:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical inspections, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and installations on a variety of marine based systems and components
  • Fitting of hydraulic systems.
  • Fault finding on electrical and mechanical items.
  • Commissioning various OEM equipment for shipyards.
  • Maintain work area with good housekeeping and organisation.
  • Prepare technical reports on faults or installations, maintain records for maintenance work.
  • Performing quality control inspections and tests on all equipment and on-board systems.
  • Attend private customer’s vessels to carry out work both locally and further afield. Take the lead and manage a small team, ensuring work is completed on time and to a very high standard.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Provide exemplary customer service when working onboard a private vessel, communicating professionally and frequently with your main point of contact
  • Work collaboratively with the office ops team, updating regularly with the progress of jobs and ensuring work is well coordinated and your time is used effectively and efficiently.
  • Use the appropriate IT systems to maintain work records, and accurately record time taken

About you:

· Previous electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience

· Curious and tenacious; carrying our thorough investigative work to identify and correct issues or faults

· Positive attitude

· Good communication skills

· Flexibility to travel within the UK and abroad

· Full UK driving license

· Committed to delivering a high level of customer service

· Ability to work under pressure

· Ability to work on your own and use initiative

· Proficient with computers and relevant computer programs including email and Microsoft office suite

· Willing to take on additional work or responsibilities as requested

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following:

· Marine Engineering qualification

· Previous marine experience

· Experience of working with Seakeeper, Opacmare
