JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Marketing Executive

Based at: Trinity Arts & leisure, Bromham Road, Bedford

Reports to: Managing Director

Introduction

Bedford College Services (BCS) is a multi-faceted enterprise that operates across the leisure, hospitality, catering, theatre and facilities hire sectors

Our purpose

The purpose of BCS is to provide a suite of commercial services to the staff and students of TBCG and to the wider community. It will always strive to provide the highest quality of product and services. It will endeavour to ensure that its supply chain complies with modern day thinking of sustainability, carbon emissions and modern slavery. BCS will bid for external contracts to provide those services, to exploit its management skills and capacity. BCS will endeavour to enrich student and staff experience within the Group through work experience, qualifying courses or apprenticeships. BCS will actively engage with the community it operates in.

Main duties:

1. To identify potential opportunities and convert them into increased business.

2. Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports.

3. Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service

5. To proactively sell business 2 business all of the BCS brands within the local market

6. To research and build relationships with new clients, which could be external or internally with The Bedford College Group

7. To account manage existing clients to ensure they stay satisfied and positive.

8. To attend industry functions, such as networking events and expos and provide feedback and information on market trends.

9. To identify trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.

10. To create materials and documents to showcase the business.

11. To identify opportunities for marketing campaigns and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.

12. Experience of setting up marketing campaigns on social media channels

13. To conduct research and SWOT analysis into the competition.

14. To analyse the position of the business in the local area and compare pricing and facilities.

15. To keep abreast of current market conditions.

16. To generate revenue and have the ability to maximise all bookings, ensuring that all service standards are met from the start to end of booking.

17. To produce proposals, quotes and contracts, to secure business in line with BCS’ revenue targets, in consultation with the Head of Operations.

18. Responding to all telephone and email enquiries.

19. To maximise sales opportunities for all our facilities, which include room hire, weddings, 3G pitches, sports halls, and theatres in order to meet targets, including making proactive sales calls.

20. To support Chef Managers across our sites to promote the catering facilities to all Bedford College Students

21. To support the events coordinator with new sales enquires across the BCS brands

22. To manage social media posts and across all brands and to develop a yearly plan. Which is to be presented to the BCS board, updated and presented to Head of Operations monthly

23. To ensure that all marketing material is up to date and is available to customers

24. To help out at events as and required may include weekend work

25. To conduct customers feedback and carry out surveys to our customer base

26. To generate sales through show rounds, exhibition events and mailings

27. To ensure all financial transactions are processed in line the current procedure.

28. To show the clients our facilities and work with them to ensure the business meets with their expectations.

29. To attend external trade show and internal show cases that promote the business.

30. To deliver exceptional customer service from the initial enquiry through to the conclusion of the booking.

31. To undertake any other associated duties as requested by the Head of Operation

32. To carry out project work for new opportunities for BCS

Qualifications/ Training

Essential

· English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent

· IT skills Word, Excel and

Outlook

· Degree educated in Marketing or similar qualification

· Experience of providing exceptional customer service

· Experience in proactive sales

· Experience of working in a similar role within Hospitality environment and or Leisure

· Recent successful experience of generating good sales figures

· A good understanding and knowledge of the sales process

· Experience of maximising sales opportunity

· Experience of producing reports

· Recent successful experience of working in the sale or marketing industry

· Experience in managing social media content channels

· Experience in successfully developing and delivering a marketing plan into a business

· Able to understand and follow instructions

· Ability to work effectively as a member of a team

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook

· Highly organised with attention to detail

· Creative

· Good Communication skills

· Numbers Driven.

· Pro-Active Approach.

· Self-Motivated.

· Social media content posting and understanding

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
