Full job description
As a Fire and Security Minor Works Engineer, you will play a key role within ABCA’s dedicated field team. You will be responsible for delivering minor works projects on a range of fire and security systems, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest industry standards.
Duties and responsibilities
To support the Install Managers & Sales team with installation work, including;
- Deliver minor works assigned by the Install Mangers in line with British Standards
- Diagnose and repair faults across Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Warden Call and Intruder systems
- Provide expert advice and technical support to clients on-site Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards at all times Keep detailed records of work completed and system statuses
- Foster strong relationships with customers by providing outstanding service
- Surveying sites for Door access/Intercom/CCTV/Fire/Warden Call/Intruder
- Working with In-house and subcontract labour teams
- QA Visits and completion walk off
- System Design Meeting Client teams for Pre Start/Walk offs
- Snagging Installation work
- System remedial works as required
- Fault finding Qualifications and Experience
- Intercom knowledge (preferred Entrotec IP experience)
- Access Control knowledge (preferred KMS/Paxton/Intratone)
- Fire Alarm training (e.g. FAI level 1-5)
- Hyfire & Advanced Fire training
- AICO House Coding
- Driving License

Other Information
This is a permanent role we are offering based in the Yorkshire/Midlands area. The rate of pay we are offering is up to £13.50-£19.20 per hour depending on experience, based on a 40-hour working week. You will be provided with a company van and a company mobile phone.
