Full job description

As a Fire and Security Minor Works Engineer, you will play a key role within ABCA’s dedicated field team. You will be responsible for delivering minor works projects on a range of fire and security systems, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest industry standards.

Duties and responsibilities

To support the Install Managers & Sales team with installation work, including;

Deliver minor works assigned by the Install Mangers in line with British Standards
Diagnose and repair faults across Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Warden Call and Intruder systems
Provide expert advice and technical support to clients on-site  Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards at all times  Keep detailed records of work completed and system statuses
Foster strong relationships with customers by providing outstanding service
Surveying sites for Door access/Intercom/CCTV/Fire/Warden Call/Intruder
Working with In-house and subcontract labour teams
QA Visits and completion walk off
System Design  Meeting Client teams for Pre Start/Walk offs
Snagging Installation work
System remedial works as required
Fault finding Qualifications and Experience
Intercom knowledge (preferred Entrotec IP experience)
Access Control knowledge (preferred KMS/Paxton/Intratone)
Fire Alarm training (e.g. FAI level 1-5)
Hyfire & Advanced Fire training
AICO House Coding
Driving License

Other Information

This is a permanent role we are offering based in the Yorkshire/Midlands area. The rate of pay we are offering is up to £13.50-£19.20 per hour depending on experience, based on a 40-hour working week. You will be provided with a company van and a company mobile phone.
