We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Trainee Contracts Manager to join our Minor Works Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in construction management.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor health & safety compliance and ensure best practices are followed on-site.
• Assist with the preparation of project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and reports.
• Attend site meetings and assist in resolving any issues that arise.
• Develop an understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract management.
• Continuously learn and develop skills in construction management and industry regulations.

Required:

• A keen interest in construction and project management.
• Previous experience in construction (such as site experience or an apprenticeship)
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
• IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• A full UK driving licence
