Multi Drop HGV Driver (Class 2)

Based in South Oxfordshire we are actively seeking a driven, enthusiastic and hardworking Class 2 HGV Driver to join our friendly team to help take us to the next level, working in a fun and energetic company which supplies high end projects.

Purpose of job:

To Deliver all products safely and efficiently according to the customer’s order

To Drive in a safe manner at all times adhering to all road laws

Principal Responsibilities:

• To deliver goods according to customers order and unload
• To help load when necessary, customers’ orders
• To help unload inbound deliveries
• To help “pick” customers’ orders when necessary
• To ensure all paperwork is signed and returned to the office and is correct according to the daily schedule/operations
• To help in and around the yard when lorry deliveries are quiet
• To ensure that your “drivers” qualifications are up to date
• To maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and has fuel, oil and ready to drive
• To report any defects to the office
• Communicates with customers of any delays
• Communicates with management of any delays
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times
• To take responsibility for your own and others Health and Safety whilst at work
• To become familiar with company policies, procedures and guidelines
• To take responsibility for your own personal development in partnership with the Company
• To comply with any other reasonable tasks that are requested from time to time

Skills / Required Qualifications:

• Up to date CPC
• HGV Class 2
• Full and clean driving license
• HIAB license / certificate
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
• Ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently.
• Ability to work hard in a physically demanding outdoor environment, in all-weathers due to the nature of the role.
• Being able to work using your own initiative, with a positive attitude.

Hours: 07:30-17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break, plus tea breaks.

Salary: £36,000.000

Work Location: In person.

Stoneworld is located outside of Oxford in a rural setting, near to Junction 8 of the M40. Due to the limited bus service, you will need to be able to travel to our premises.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday.

Ability to commute/relocate: Oxford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
