About us

Active Youth Outreach Services, AYOS, has a goal to support children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, with meaningful experiences that support their development in the world. We are a mobile youth service working with communities across the Wyre Forest focussing on building community cohesion and inclusion by providing activities for children and young people.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Operations and Fundraising Manager to join our team.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our organisation's mission and goals. This exciting vacancy is a key leadership role that requires strong relationship management skills and a passion for making a difference. Based on an initial 12 month full time contract with the goal to achieve more funding for longer term.

The Role

This pivotal role at AYOS is to identify and apply for funding in support of projects for children and young people in the Wyre Forest, UK. It also includes the planning, co-ordinating and delivery of these projects within local communities.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans

- Cultivate and maintain beneficial relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners and individuals

- Liaise with partners, stakeholders, clients and AYOS team.

- Supply the board of directors with fundraising reports and assist with the preparation of the reports to funders.

- Plan and coordinate events, projects, and programmes ensure organisational goals and objectives are fulfilled and delivered against relevant frameworks.

- Maintain and monitor teams including general HR, timesheets, work hours and rotas.

- Organise, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings including following up on actions and decisions. You may also be required to prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.

- Assist AYOS team with project tasks and delivery.

- Create and manage marketing strategies.

- Manage applications for delivery contracts.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of event management
  • Understanding of fundraising/grant applications
  • Experience of planning and setting budgets
  • Working knowledge of social media
  • Proven management/supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of difficulties affecting children and young people living within the profile area.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community-based activities.
  • Qualification in related field. (E.g. Sports, Coaching, Education, Youth and Community)
  • Full UK driving licence without endorsements
