Role Description: Operations Manager

A fantastic career opportunity has arisen for a creative and driven sustainability professional to join our team. The role is to be the Operations Manager overseeing our commercial decarbonisation, retrofit, new build and consultancy services.
We provide a range of sustainability consultancy and testing services. As Operations Manager you would be responsible for overseeing the quality of our existing services and developing new service offerings. We are an ambitious growth focused company.

Key Duties
- Leading building performance simulation and energy related workstreams, using a range of modelling approaches, tools and techniques.
- Supporting the development of junior staff in the team, helping them to improve their understanding and skills in the energy simulation and building performance arena.
- Developing energy strategies with our clients to lead sustainability innovation on a series of developments.
- Lead and develop processes and internal working procedures.
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the team.
- Supporting the development of holistic sustainability strategies, where necessary.
- Development of new service offerings as the industry evolves.
- Thought leadership articles and speaking engagements.
- Develop and maintain key client relationships.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of modelling a range of building types
- Building Regulations Part L assessments using IES and Elmhurst (or similar)
- Developing energy and carbon strategies
- In-Use energy modelling and assessment
- Dynamic modelling for thermal comfort assessments and overheating risk assessments
- Façade performance evaluation
- Passivhaus – qualified PH Designer or Consultant, or a good working knowledge of the methodology
- Appreciation of broader sustainability issues, such as; sustainability governance and reporting, sustainability strategies, climate change adaptation, behaviour change, etc.
- HVAC network modelling would be desirable
About You
- Experience working within the built environment sector
- Have worked within, or have a good understanding of, Part L of the building regulations
- Have worked within, or have a good understanding of, PAS 2035 retrofit practices
- You will bring expertise (with a degree in engineering/science, and experience in the field) and a passion for creating sustainable solutions
- You will relish being part of a dynamic fast growing team
- You will have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working within a team environment
- A true passion for sustainability and the built environment
- Extensive management experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
