Part Time Cleaner

THE OPPORTUNITY

Edenhall is a 1,500-acre estate on the edge of the Lake District: lakes, rivers, ancient woodland, a working tenanted dairy farm, a private family residence, and a growing collection of cottages, halls and cabins. After years of careful restoration, the estate is in the middle of a thoughtful renewal — welcoming weddings, private events, wellness retreats and holiday guests in our beautifully restored properties.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a part-time cleaner to join our small, close-knit team and help us keep the estate properties looking their very best. You will work across our accommodation and estate buildings — including offices, holiday lets, and event spaces — making sure everything is spotless, well-presented and ready to welcome guests.

The work is varied, the surroundings are exceptional, and no two days look exactly the same.

Day to day, you will:

• Clean and prepare guest accommodation between stays, ensuring every room meets our high presentation standards.
• Carry out daily and deep-cleaning routines across the estate buildings, including offices and communal areas.
• Make up beds, replace linens and replenish toiletries and supplies.
• Report any maintenance issues or damage promptly to the relevant team member.
• Help keep storage areas, cleaning cupboards and supply inventories tidy and well-stocked.
• Occasionally support the wider team with additional tasks during events or busy guest periods.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You have a keen eye for detail, take real pride in your work, and can get on with things without needing to be chased. Being reliable and a good team player matters more to us than anything else.

• A genuine eye for detail and a high personal standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy — the kind of person others can count on.
• A warm, friendly manner and the ability to work well as part of a small team.
• Your own car and a valid UK driving licence — essential given the rural location.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is helpful but not required; we will provide full training.
