ABOUT WORKMATE AGENCY

We are a recruitment agency based in Brackley, Northamptonshire who specialise within the transport, logistics, and distribution industries. We additionally support clients across the commercial sectors and operate UK-wide.

We're delighted to offer the opportunity to join our growing team as a Payroll Coordinator. This will involve being responsible for running weekly payroll for temporary agency staff, plus monthly payroll for company employees. You will report directly to the Director and Recruitment Manager to discuss and organise payroll-related matters.

Due to the negotiable working hours we are offering, this vacancy would be ideal for someone who needs flexibility around childcare or who is looking to return to the workplace. However, we encourage all interested applicants to apply.

Role: Payroll Coordinator

Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire

Salary: £12.50 - £15 per hour based on experience

Contract: Part-Time, Permanent (approx. 8 - 10 hours per week)

This position offers flexible, hybrid working arrangements for the right candidate

You will be expected to reliably commute to our office in Brackley one day per week

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS

✔ A full valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

✔ Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role

✔ Candidates with relevant payroll qualifications are preferred, but this is not essential

✔ Requires experience using Sage Payroll or a similar accountancy software

✔ Should offer experience submitting tax and NI deductions to HMRC

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Reporting directly to the Director and Recruitment Manager
  • Acting as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries
  • Processing monthly payroll for company employees
  • Enrolling new employees onto the company pension scheme
  • Maintaining accurate employee information for pay and tax purposes
  • Ensuring all employees pay the correct tax and NI deductions
  • Managing timesheets and working hours for agency staff
  • Running the weekly payroll for temporary agency staff
  • Processing business expense claims for employees and agency staff
  • On-boarding of new payroll clients
  • Creating and issuing invoices to clients as required
  • Chasing outstanding invoices and managing rebate payments
  • Other payroll-related duties as required
