Playworker

3pm-6pm. Based in Bradley Stoke.

Shine is one of the leading Sports Coaching and Wraparound Care companies in the Bristol region. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about having a positive impact on primary school children through the medium of sports and creative activities.

Our dedicated teams comprise of experienced coaches who inspire and motivate children of all abilities and ages to excel. First and foremost we want you to deliver an exciting and engaging sports session that children can't wait to come back to.

The role

We are looking for experienced enthusiastic Playworker coaches who will deliver a range of activities, motivating and inspiring children during our afterschool clubs (3pm-6pm) and also possible additional hours in the holidays at our holiday clubs if desired.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about having a positive impact on primary school children through the medium of creative, sports play activities.

We seek to provide children with opportunities to learn, develop and be inspired, and that’s exactly what we want for our staff too. Working with children is a rewarding and fulfilling role, and at Shine we want to hear your ideas and ambitions.

The role

Your role as a playworker involves supporting and inspiting children in all their endeavours. We are looking for enthusiastic and nurturing individuals who are patient, positive and empathic. Skills in engagement, de-escalation and behaviour management are key.

The successful candidates will need to be organised and enthusiastic with the ability to communicate and interact with both children and parents in an approachable and professional manner.

Top candidates will have experience of working with children with SEND although this is not essential.
