About Seashell Trust
Here at Seashell, we provide care and education for children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments and communication disorders, and autism. Originally founded in 1823, we are a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The Seashell Trust consists of the Royal School Manchester (RSM), Royal College Manchester (RCM), 17 residential homes, outreach, health and family services. Our services are all based on one site which really reinforces our fantastic sense of community.
We have a new and exciting opportunity for talented and an energetic individual to support the expansion of our Positive Behaviour Support team. The PBS Coach will work directly with the children and young people we support, and our colleagues, to implement behavioural strategies promoting a collaborative approach to PBS for all.
Working predominantly to support the young adults at Royal Manchester College, the PBS Coach will play a key role in supporting the development of functional behaviour assessments to develop individual positive behaviour support plans. However, this particular role will also provide PBS support to our CADS (Children’s Able and Disabled Sports group) for individuals taking part in activities such as football, swimming, climbing and art. Flexibility working over 7 days is therefore required to support CADS in the evenings, at weekends and during the school holidays.
