About the Practice/Department/Team

Lakeside Healthcare lead four Primary Care Networks. This role is based at our South Peterborough PCN.

Since the inception of Primary Care Networks in 2019, we have witnessed remarkable growth and success stories within our PCNs, particularly in personalised care, pharmacy services, and the diverse clinical staff meeting the unique needs of our patients.

The role of PCNs in primary care and integrated neighbourhood healthcare is continually expanding, to adapt to this growth and align with the evolving landscape, we are expanding our teams to ensure we have the capacity to support our PCNs in delivering effective services for our patients, in partnership with our practices.
The role is key for our ambitions and is part of a wider PCN support team of ten people.

Job Introduction

PCN Business Support Officer is an integral part of the PCNs organisational structure working closely alongside the Clinical Directors, PCN executive members, Digital and Transformation Managers and PCN Operational Team Leads.

The role holder will provide high quality administrative support to the PCN team including general administration, arranging meetings, and taking minutes, reporting activity internally and externally, planning and programme support ensuring good compliance around.

What you will do

1. Primary administrative support to The South Peterborough and St Neots Primary Care Networks working with the Clinical Director & PCN team to ensure the PCN functions efficiently and effectively.

2. Organise meetings including agendas, minute taking and distribution, ensuring agreed actions are completed in a timely and coordinated manner.

3. Help manage PCN services ensuring they meet the contractual requirements and agreed performance metrics.

4. Communicate information and issues, including briefings and reports, to the PCN Operations Team Leads.

5. Working alongside the PCN practice staff and People team support the recruitment and Induction of new PCN employees.

Essential Criteria

1. Previous experience in an administration role

2. Experience of arranging meetings

3. Experience of minute taking

4. Strong attention to detail

5. Ability to use own initiative, follow tasks through to a high standard
