Role Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Assistant working within a fast-paced kitchen and bathroom manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, components, and services to support production, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.

This is a key role that requires supplier relation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, design, logistics, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods required for kitchen and bathroom manufacturing.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders in line with production schedules and demand forecasts.
  • Monitor order confirmations, delivery schedules, and lead times to ensure timely supply.
  • Work closely with production planning to ensure continuity of supply and minimise shortages.
  • Support cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock‑level monitoring.
  • Provide general administrative support to the procurement department.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and sustainability requirements

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or administrative role (manufacturing experience advantageous).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, lead‑time management, and inventory control
  • Confident user of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Desireable

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production‑led environment.
  • Knowledge of materials such as boards, worktops, hardware, fittings, or appliances
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers or support basic commercial discussions.
