Job Title: Restaurant / Pub Manager
Offer: £33.000-£38.000 Package depending on experience
Holiday: 28 Days per year
Hours: Av. 48 hours per week (extra hours may be required on occasion)

Located in the picturesque village of Hambledon, dating back to the 16th century, our traditional, welcoming village inn is steeped in history. Under the new management of the team behind the highly acclaimed Hilltop Kitchen, the daily changing menu is based on what comes of our own farm and inspired by great British classics. Our bar serves award-winning local ales, an innovative cocktail list and carefully curated wine list celebrating local wineries along classic regions from around the world.
We are recruiting a Restaurant / Pub Manager to join the team and to lead and inspire our front of house team.
About the job
As Restaurant / Pub Manager you will assist the Senior Team to manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar whilst supervising and developing the team. You will ensure the highest standards of customer service and ensure that the serving of food and drink is timely, consistent, and to the highest possible standard.
In addition to management roles, you will ensure the health, safety and hygiene standards of the restaurant and bar are upheld as well as helping the General Manger with payroll, sales forecasting, staff training and development and maintaining close control of wages and GP within budget.
Provide strong strategic and operational leadership to the team. Ensuring the vision, values and culture are fully embedded, with clarity on objectives across the pub.
About You
Qualifications relevant to the position are an advantage.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:
· Experience in a quality restaurant / pub operation
· Good knowledge of food and drink service
- Passionate about food, drink and the hospitality industry
- Proven restaurant and bar management experience along with a track record for strong customer service
- Awareness of and adherence to Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation
- Experience in establishing recruitment, training and leadership systems
- Financial and computer literacy (P&L, ordering and stock management system, Microsoft packages)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, inspiring and directing a front of house team to exceed guest expectations with the knowledgeable service they provide and thereby achieve revenue and profit targets
