Qualified Childcare Practitioner (Full-Time)

Woodland Outdoor Kindergartens is an outdoor kindergarten where children spend on average 6 hours every day outside in local woodland, playing and learning. Woodland Outdoor Kindergartens works in partnership with Glasgow City Council. The innovative and successful private childcare provider has two outdoor kindergartens; one located in the south side and the other in the west end of Glasgow.

Woodland Outdoor Kindergartens are looking for a new practitioner to join the team at our West End Kindergarten. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate, dynamic and successful team.

Role Available:

Full-time Qualified Childcare Practitioner

• Permanent 37 Hour Contract (Days to be confirmed)
• Working hours are 8am-6pm
• Start Date: Feb/Mar 2025

Essential Skills:

• Ability to engage and interact with young children
• Ability to work professionally and co-operatively with parents/carers and staff
• Understanding of and commitment to child-led learning
• Understanding of outdoor learning

• Genuine interest in the natural environment and spending full days outdoors whatever the weather

Essential Qualifications:

• Scottish childcare qualification such as SVQ Level 3 - Social Services (Children & Young People) and SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF level 7

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in outdoor learning
