Quality Assistant – £14.00 per Hour
Crewkerne, Somerset | Monday–Friday | Long-Term Temporary Role

Ready to take your quality skills to the next level? We’re recruiting on behalf of a world-leading engineering company seeking a detail-driven Quality Assistant to support their high-performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a precision-driven environment where quality truly matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Inspect manufactured and purchased components against engineering drawings
  • Complete Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs)
  • Investigate machining and testing failures, working closely with production teams
  • Carry out goods-inwards inspections (visual & dimensional checks)
  • Support continuous improvement across quality and production processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards
  • Assist with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain quality excellence
  • Provide cover and support within the Quality team when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring tools, such as:
  • Digital calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Height gauges
  • Plug & ring gauges
  • Shadowgraph equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting

Key Skills

  • Clear and confident communication of inspection findings
  • Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
  • Good IT skills and a commitment to high standards
