Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer someone who is used to managing different things at once – someone who is good at time management and prioritization, and who takes initiative to get the job done.

The Job Role:

One of your first tasks will be to complete documentation for their new metal forming area that has moved up from Farnham, and so you will need to have experience with documentation such as control plans, FMEA’s, PPAPS etc. Gauge R&R experience would be good too. Would be good for you to have experience working to ISO9001 or IATF standards as well.

· To maintain the company’s recognized quality system and to assist the Quality Manager in the maintenance of quality records. Success will be measured by the continued certification to IATF 16949 and the results of external customer audits.

  • Provides and facilitates the ongoing education/training of all employees at this location in the Quality continuous improvement initiatives. Promotes a continuous learning environment. Support the value steams in providing training and coaching in problem solving, the 5 Y's, process flowcharting, 8D process, Control plans, FMEA, Standardized work, Poka-yoke, Gauge R&R, SPC, etc.
  • Support customer needs by effective corrective and preventative action as required. These reports should be completed within the timelines defined by the customer. Measures will be linked to customer report cards.
  • Assist in reviewing and closure of quality complaints and internal reject issues to ensure corrective and preventive actions have been implemented and appropriate containment actions have been taken.
  • To support the design and development of products and processes through advanced product quality planning to ensure that prevention-based systems are utilized. Ensure the quality system is always followed and that project folders are always up to date. Where necessary conduct project reviews to measure success.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
