Full job description

The Receptionist will work under the direction of the Office Manager (OM) and will be the first point of contact for all enquiries into RSPCA Norwich, based at our headquarters in Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk.

Working collaboratively with staff, volunteers and Trustees you will ensure that the customer experience offered is of the highest standard, from initial contact through to outcome.

An outgoing and enthusiastic individual, you will proactively seek to always improve and streamline the customer care function within the charity where necessary, with a focus on both internal and external stakeholders.

At all times you will maintain the excellent standards expected from the RSPCA, and be supportive and sympathetic to the aims of the charity.

What’s in it for you?

We are looking for the ideal candidate to join us and in return we can offer a uniform, pension, generous annual leave (including an additional day for your birthday), cycle to work scheme, health care cash plan, retail discount scheme, a dynamic and exciting team and plenty of finned, furry, feathered and scaly friends to interact with!

Proposed hours are Monday – Tuesday and Thursday – Friday, 9:30am – 2:30pm.

To apply, please submit both a covering letter (including how you meet the above criteria), along with your CV. Unfortunately, applications without both a covering letter and a CV will not be considered for shortlisting.

Due to the high volume of applications that we receive for positions, we will be contacting appropriate candidates as and when their applications are received. If you have not received a response within 10 working days of your application, then unfortunately you will have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
