The role in short
To accurately and efficiently process all customer returns, and have a view to recover as much value as possible from these items by returning to stock or selling through 3rd party platforms.

Hours

Monday-Friday 8.00am-16.00pm

37.5 hours per week

£14.25 per hour, increased to £14.75 after successful probation

Onto the nitty gritty!

  • Handle face-to-face customer returns and support customers with return-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Returns Co-ordinator to identify the most effective recovery solutions for non-pristine or damaged stock.
  • Assess returned products and determine the most cost-effective method for repackaging, restocking, resale, or disposal.
  • Re-box and prepare returned products for restocking where appropriate.
  • Rework and prepare products for resale across online marketplaces including eBay, Amazon, B&Q, Plumbworld, PlumbNation, and The Range.
  • Use warehouse systems to accurately process stock movements, deliveries, returns, and supplier return administration.
  • Pack and dispatch products safely in line with warehouse standards and distribution requirements.
  • Liaise with Customer Services to resolve customer return issues and report unidentified customer returns when necessary.
  • Support yard management and general warehouse operations as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Promote high standards of accuracy, quality, integrity, and safe working practices within the warehouse environment.
  • Fulfil other duties, in support of the operation, as and when requested by Operations Management.
  • Support the Returns Co-ordinator with departmental eBay processes as appropriate, including administration of listings, answering customer queries, and despatching of sales.
  • To administer customer returns to suppliers, where appropriate.

We’d like to meet someone with...

  • Experience of working in a Warehouse environment preferred FLT / Driving licences preferred
  • Computer literate, able to use basic Microsoft packages and Warehouse systems
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Good communication skills and the ability to challenge, solve problems Clear concise communication skills, comfortable communicating with team and other departments
  • High attention to detail, especially when working in high pressured environments.
  • Ability to prioritise workload Capable of working under own initiative.
