- Do you have a creative background or are you a maker either as a career or in your spare time?
- Do you have previous SEND experience, either professionally or personally, or an awareness of the types of barriers our trainees face?
- Do you have experience of social media or small business/enterprise?
- Do you know your way around Apple products and have a flexible approach to problem solving?
Part-time Role: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 09:00 - 16:00
Location: Hawkhurst, Kent.
Elevate Creates is an exciting creative skills training service, with a a focus on enterprise, for young autistic adults and those with learning disabilities (18+). As a key member of our team, you will support our trainees to learn new creative skills using our ‘design; make; market; sell’ framework. You will help them adjust to being in a working environment, as well as support micro-business creation for those on the enterprise pathway. If you have knowledge and skills in creative practice and enterprise, have a bundle of energy and ideas a-plenty, along with the desire to help guide our trainees through the next chapter of their adult life, we would love to hear from you.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Support with the delivery, and contribute to the creation, of engaging learning activities.
- Support with the design, production, and marketing of products for the Elevate Creates ranges as well as support trainees to develop their own range of products.
- Commit and contribute to improving standards and to maintaining a caring and stimulating environment for our trainees.
- Commit to developing a positive team culture of praise and feedback and participate in meetings and training events that support and develop the work of the team.
- Commit to supporting markets and events, and attending occasional weekend/ evening events by arrangement.
- To safeguard and promote the welfare of students and act on any safeguarding issues in accordance with Elevate Creates procedures.
- Enhanced DBS will be required.
Salary: £15 - £18 per hour depending on experience
Annual Leave: 24 days (includes 2 week Christmas shut down)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 per week
