Are you passionate about supporting the educational journey of children with special educational needs (SEN)? AK TEACHING, a reputable education agency, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Learning Support Assistants in Newcastle.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their educational goals.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized learning plans and strategies.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.

Assist with the personal care and hygiene needs of students, as required.

Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

Possession of a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.

Full driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Prior experience working in a school-based setting is desirable but not essential.

Flexibility and willingness to work with students across a range of ages and abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
