Lifestyle Care is a new company, which is part of the Malhotra Group; a family run business based in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistants at Morpeth.

The Senior Carer plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to Residents within the Care Home. This position involves taking on additional responsibilities, including supervising and guiding care staff, ensuring compliance with care plans, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. The Senior Carer is an integral part of the care team, contributing to the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of Residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of care.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members.
  • Ensure Residents retain their dignity and individuality.
  • Act as a role model for the other care staff
  • Build up good relationships with the Residents; recognise and respond to residents' social and emotional needs
  • To assist Residents to carry out their activities of daily living e.g., washing, dressing, eating, and bathing.
  • Dispense medication and ensure correct recording of all relevant information relating to medication (after satisfactory completion of the Safe Handling of Medicines course).
  • Complete, observe and review care planning needs for Residents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident assessments, care plans, and daily observations as instructed and in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with Residents, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns and providing updates on Resident progress.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience within the care industry at a Senior Carer level OR genuine interest in working in the care environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
  • Satisfactory DBS check.
  • Team player.
