Job purpose
If ABCA sounds like the right place for you, we would love you to join our team within the Service Department. You will carry out day to day engineering jobs and help on the more complex/complaint jobs and also assist the Field Line Manager with audits/stock takes in their absence.
Duties and responsibilities
- Help to improve the skills levels of the engineers in the team
- Attending complaint level jobs to see they are completed to the satisfaction of the customer
- Helping out with call out rota when needed
- Keeping up to date downloads from site systems
- PPM’S
- Reactive fault calls
- Assist engineers on complex jobs
- Help other engineers over the phone
- Assist Field Line Manager’s with Audits and stock takes
- Help with cover when the Field Line Manager is on Annual Leave
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Multi-disciplined in Fire & Security but more biased to Access Control and Door Entry.
- 5 plus years working in the Fire & Security sector. Be able to work on multiple Fire & Security systems.
Preferred
- Competent with auto doors, shutters, gates and barriers.
- Experience on warden call systems.
Personal Attributes
- Good knowledge of British Standards.
- Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers.
- Strong organisation and time management skills – working to customer deadlines.
- Ability to use own initiative and logical thinking to solve problems.

Other Information
This is a permanent role we are offering based in the North West. The rate of pay we are offering is £17.00 - £19.00 per hour depending on experience, based on a 40 hour working week.
We will also provide you with a company van and mobile phone
