Job description
Perthshire Caravan Company is recruiting a Service Advisor to work for the largest caravan and motorhome dealership in Scotland, located on the A90 between Dundee and Perth.
As a Service Advisor, you will be required to answer service reception calls and call customers to keep them updated with the progress of work. This involves checking with technicians as to the status of the work. You will also be required to deal with service customers on a face to face basis.
You will be required to work under the Service Desk Supervisor who will delegate work to you.
The job entails booking customer caravans/motorhomes into the workshop for servicing and repair work, and managing the workshop diary effectively. You will make sure the work is carried out on time and invoice the work (in conjunction with your Service colleagues) prior to handing the vehicle back over to the customer.
This Service Advisor candidate will also specialise in supporting the Warranty/Parts Team in submitting warranty claims and parts orders, and addressing fault issues.
Hours of work: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. You would work every sixth Saturday morning, 8am to 12noon (with the Wednesday afternoon preceding the Saturday morning that you are working off).
There is also voluntary overtime on a Saturday morning available 8am - 12noon (with a bonus payment made to you and the preceding Tuesday afternoon off).
An annual company pay review is carried out.
You must have effective IT skills to be able to use the manufacturer’s aftersales systems.
You will be required to deal with customer complaints regarding aftersales service issues.
You may be required to attend product training courses from time to time.
You will report to Directors Claire McCormack and Ian McCormack.
Perthshire Caravans is a member of The Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) - a joint enterprise between the NCC (National Caravan Council), The Caravan and Motorhome Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club. AWS is now the UK's largest group of independently assessed workshops and is seen as the benchmark for motorhome and touring caravan servicing in the UK.
