Full job description

We are looking to recruit a full-time service advisor to join our friendly team at our Peterborough site on Bretton Way.

This is a key role, being on the front line of delivering industry-leading standards of customer care and satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of customer care and satisfaction
  • Provide estimates to customers and book scheduled service and repair work
  • Check in vehicles when they arrive with us and check them out when work is completed
  • Record customer requests accurately and ensure these are communicated clearly to the workshop
  • Keep customers informed and up to date at every stage while their vehicle is in our care, advise of completion times, any delays, and quickly respond to any questions or queries
  • Prioritise effectively to ensure that customers whose vehicles may need extra work are contacted promptly and advised on a recommended course of action
  • Create invoices for work carried out
  • Complete paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Maintain the customer database to ensure all information contained within it is accurate
  • Maximise service department’s profitability using professional sales techniques
  • Ensure customers are aware of all available workshop services
  • Plan and manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are achieved
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, dealership colleagues, suppliers, and external representatives.

Salary, Benefits, and Working Hours

The salary for this role is up to £34,000 OTE per year. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00. We are also happy to discuss flexible working arrangements that work for both you and us.

Who We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a busy customer service environment
  • Have a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be confident using a computer
  • Have a strong belief in providing excellent customer service
  • Be flexible in their approach to work
  • Have a smart and well-presented appearance.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role with knowledge of CDK Autoline/Kerridge would be beneficial but is not required as full training will be provided.
