Full job description

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work with some of the food industry’s best and innovative producers. We are an independent distributor of chilled, ambient and frozen speciality food and drink, specialising in cheese and charcuterie.

This position is to oversee all areas of Curd & Cure's stock levels, ensure the business can fulfil its sales objectives by having the appropriate inventory available ensuring we reduce waste levels and continuously improve shortages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the inventory levels are accurate and at sufficient levels to support the business objectives and sales target.
  • To ensure orders are placed with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory to facilitate consistent fulfilment of sales orders.
  • Work closely with buyer on all new supplier set up, product launches and range reviews to ensure maximum revenue impact.
  • Management reporting and analysis of daily waste and customer shortages.
  • Continuous improvement and implementation of enhanced ordering and forecasting process and technologies.
  • Review weekly KPI reports and forecast sales data.
  • Management rolling and annual stock takes for accurate system inventory.
  • Collaborate with sales department to forecast seasonal decreases and uplifts in sales.
  • Close communication with sales and warehouse team, addressing purchasing and stock control queries both in-person and via radio.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience managing high volume of SKU’s in a fresh or frozen wholesale environment
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Systems knowledge of computer-generated supplier purchase ordering, goods receipting, stock takes and sales data.

Hours can be discussed but would typically be 8.30am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
