Role – Store Manager

Salary - £33000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location – Canary Wharf, London

Industry – Supermarket Retail (Asian Supermarket)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Tian Tian Market as the store manager of the flagship store in Canary Wharf.

We are looking for an experienced supermarket store manager who loves a challenge. This will be an influential role as store managerof the flagship store. You will need to be self-motivated & have a positive, successful attitude. Experience working as a store manager, in supermarket retail, is essential.

Managing the store performance & operations the flagship store will also be used to develop & train Supervisors/senior staff. Experience training/developing of staff is essential.

You will report to the Operations Manager.


  • Take full responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operations of the flagship store
  • Manage processes & policies including store standards, health & safety, customer service, stock control
  • Manage store to increase in sales performance
  • Lead by example & motivate your team
  • Effectively delegate workload and motivate your teams to achieve high performance
  • Solve problems swiftly to enable your teams to focus on their tasks
  • Recruit, train and develop staff
  • Responsible for employee rota’s
  • Understanding & control of payroll budget
  • Set excellent Customer Service standards within the stores
  • Manage and improve key performance indicators throughout the store
  • Track daily costs and revenues
  • Build relationship with building management
  • Manage stock loss/shrinkage
  • Manage any staff performance issues within the stores, following disciplinary procedures when necessary


  • Experience as a supermarket store manager, at least 5+ years
  • Experience within the food retail industry (Supermarkets) (Essential)
  • Experience of leading and developing staff, at least 3+ years
  • Confident with performance management, disciplinary & grievance procedures, at least 3+ years
  • Excellent time-management, delegation & problem-solving skills
  • A customer-focused manner
  • Good understanding of general store operations & policies
  • Full understanding of all store duties
  • Not afraid to ‘get stuck in’ & lead by example
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of East Asian & South East Asian food products (Desirable)
