Support Worker

Consummate Care Ltd are looking for full time male support worker in the Desborough, Northamptonshire

Day Shift - 08:00 20:00 hrs

Rota working over Monday - Sunday, which may include working every other weekend.

Portable DBS would be an advantage

We are currently recruiting support workers to support a young man with ABI Brain injury and a mild learning disability.

We want to hear from you if you have a positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting people with additional needs and if you have particular skills or knowledge of working with people with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The role involves supporting a young man in his own home to live an independent and fulfilling life.
• Support a young man to self manage their complex needs and remain as independent as possible.
• The 12 hour role involves a mixture of shifts on a rota throughout the week and weekends.
• Support to attend social activities and attend medical appointments.
• Encourage the young man to maintain contact with his family, partners and friends.
• Motivate and to try new activities and visit new places
• Work well within a team and have the ability to use your own initiative.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience with ABI is preferred but full training will be given.
• Have and kind, caring and most importantly a positive attitude
• Believe that every person is able to make progress and reach goals
• A full drivers licence and the use of your own car is important for this role.
