What you’ll be doing:
As Technical Draughtsman, your role is key in assisting the design engineers and the engineering department in executing design processes from ideation to production.
You will be responsible for creating new drawings, updating existing designs & creating and updating document packages. During the creation process, you will also ensure that the drawings and documents meet company standards, as well as internal procedures and ISO 9001: 2015 / ISO 45001: 2018 QHSE Management System requirements.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include;
- Assisting with the creation of engineering drawings; Assembly, manufacturing, General Arrangement and General Assembly Drawings for manufacture and fabrication.
- Assisting with the creation of Hydraulic & Electric schematic Drawings for production.
- Ensuring the drawing packages meets manufacturing, technical and project requirements whilst keeping safety and quality at the forefront of every decision.
- Draughting documentation; test reports, operations & maintenance manuals, test documents, risk assessments and other documents as necessary.
- Draughting 3D parts, assemblies and concept designs as necessary.
- Creating Bill of materials & selecting suitable components for manufacture.
What experience you’ll bring:
What will help you to be successful in this role?
- Previous experience in a design / draughting role.
- You are proficient in Solidworks (preferred) or other Professional 3D Packages.
- You have experience engineering drawings for manufacture.
- You’re a team player, building solid working relationships with the surrounding team
- Experience with PDM Vault preferred, but not essential.
