Technical Sales Executive – Advert

Salary: £37.5k – £40k+ doe

Reports to: Commercial Director

Holiday: 20 days, plus Bank Holidays

Pension: After 3 months Nest Pension Scheme (3%)

Benefits: Car allowance, Sage Employee Benefits package, On site parking

Contract: Permanent

Hours required: 39 hours per week (Mon – Thurs 8:00 – 17:30, Fri 8:00 – 13:00)

Role Location: Hybrid in line with office-based meetings, customer site visits and commercial needs.

A snapshot of the role:

You’ll be the bridge between supporting our valued customers and developing new relationships, whilst ensuring a smooth flow of customer development projects. This is an exciting time to join Calleva and be influential within the growth of the business through commercial sales primarily in the food ingredients sector.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Product Expertise: Understanding and having real world experience of ingredients including pectin and gums, through prior food and beverage roles.

2. Client Relationships: Strengthening business relationships with our partners. You’ll be their go-to resource providing technical information, product knowledge and assistance.

3. Collaboration: Working closely with our trusted supply partners to ensure end user briefs and ingredient application needs are met and led to a successful sale of goods

4. Innovation: Staying ahead of the curve by exploring new ingredients, participating in NPD trials, and emerging research. Your insights will help shape our future.

5. Growth: You’ll be identifying and developing new customers with your commercial skillset. Visiting new and old customers and prospects around the UK and Ireland with the occasional trip overseas.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record working in a technical sales/account management role within food ingredients.
  • Commercial confidence
  • UK Driving Licence and Passport
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for individual and team success.

Degree or equivalent level in food technology/science

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £37,500.00-£45,000.00 per year
