Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Travel Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tourism and travel, enabling them to provide exceptional service to our clients. As a Travel Consultant, you will assist clients in planning their visits, offering expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and travel arrangements.

Responsibilities

Sell & book Mountain Goat products and meet the needs of our customers
Answer incoming customer communications from various channels in a professional and timely manner
Complete front desk tasks including completing bookings and manifests for drivers
Open and Close Windermere Tourist Information Centre
Serve customers face to face in tousit informations centre
Help with the day to day of the tourist infromation centre
Co-ordinate tour departures
Book overnight accommodation
Ensure attention to detail when making bookings
Put together multi-day itineraries for visits across the UK
Provide, chase and convert quotations to bookings
Liaise with agents and be the main point of contact for price lists, new products and any information they may need from us.
Manage coach bookings from enquiries, bookings to making attraction and lunch bookings on their behalf
Provide recommendations for unique and bespoke experiences.

Experience

An organised candidate, who can manage their workload and is a strong team player
Ability to use initiative & think on your feet
Flexibility to work variable shift patterns each week which include weekends & bank holidays
Excellent people skills, enabling strong relationships, both externally and internally
Strong communication skills with very good written and spoken English. Any other language skills will be welcomed as we have an international clientele.
Sound knowledge of Lake District Geography and Tourism Activity, knowledge of UK geography would also be a bonus. Ability to work to deadlines
