Trade Counter / Yard Assistant

Job description

Our Rothesay Depot is looking to recruit a Trade Counter / Yard Assistant, experience of working within a builder’s merchant is preferred but not essential.

Duties and skills required for this role.

• Clean current driving licence essential.
• Experience with unloading and loading various building materials including timber, plasterboard and sheet materials.
• Be able to respond to customer queries regarding price, availability, and some technical knowledge.
• Proactivity and attention to detail, having the ability to use your own initiative to get the job done.
• Computer Literacy Preferred
• Excellent communication skills – both verbally and written.
• Experience of dealing with building products and a sound knowledge of the industry.
